Hello and welcome to my website!!
Please visit my new blog at: Blogspot
A part of each ISLAGA meeting is the bead exchange. Participants bring a wrapped bead and exchange them with others. I have been inspired time and time again with these. The first big inspiration came from Jeanie Wiggs (Molten Memories) in the form of a hollow bead. This past January, I received one of Jari Sheese (Boca Loca Beads) buttons. I have since been obsessed with creating buttons but I wanted to find my own style. Today, I began to post my first hollow buttons! They are lightweight (because they're hollow) and have sterling silver backs with sterling silver wire swivel shanks. The first is on Etsy and the rest will be there soon. I also plan to have these at Bead and Button.

Hello! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and made the Indiana State Museum show a success! I think a good time was had by all. I am stocking up on stuff for Bead & Button now. Lisa Atchison of Touch of Glass Designs and I will be at booth #2.
I have many vessel and lampwork offerings up on Etsy. I also have a new shop; Serenity Silver. This is a showcase of my gemstone and wirework. Less emphasis on the wirework for now. Please also stop my mom's shop; Destash Annie for supplies and goodies we've found while cleaning out the studio. Links to both shops are at the bottom of the page.
Thanks!
January 2008
It only seems like I dropped off the face of the earth lately (OK the second half of 2007!) but I have been busy at the torch. I have entered into a production arrangement with some jewelry artists and their schedule of orders has been irregular to completely crazy. In short, I lost my balance between the need to create for the sake of creation and the need to make for the sake of keeping the fur kids in kibble and litter! During this time, I have been keeping my notebook busy with ideas and plans. Now, I need to bring some of those plans to life. The best possible motivation comes in the form of the two shows I have scheduled for this year; the Indiana Art Fair (at the Indiana State Museum in February), and my second year at Bead & Button (Milwaukee, WI in June). Please see my Events page for details and drop by for updates.
Thanks!

A Word to My Customers in Today's Litigious Society... The products I make are kiln annealed glass. I anneal everything I make to ensure that the item you purchase is as durable as possible. It is, however, glass and glass breaks. When glass breaks, it produces sharp jagged edges that can cause severe lacerations, cuts, and permanent damage. Please consider this while in a car or other vehicle. You may wish to remove the item from your person to avoid further injury in case of an accident.
In short, I have done everything I can to make the item you purchased as safe as possible for you to wear. If you will do your part to maintain and inspect the item regularly, we should be able to avoid incident. |
